Big Sister Stuff!

Sometimes it is hard to be a big sis, but I enjoy it! One thing you must always remember it patience! Especially when you little brother pees all over you. : )

Things to remember:

When fussing, your little baby you are watching might need to burp, is hungry, or is tired. He or she might just be lonely, so first try to play, but if still persisting to whine or cry, burp them, or, if they can't eat yet, try to lay him down for a nap
Playtime: When playing, don't try to surprise them too much with peek-a-boo, trust me, I have learned the hard way. : )
Remember to gather everything you need before you might give a baby a bath, including a diaper, a towel, a fresh outfit, and , of course, shampoo, and lotion for afterwards
When changing a diaper: Always make sure that you have a clean diaper under the old one when changing. (it will decrease the chances of a "surprise.") Another thing to remember is to make sure your baby isn't about to pee when you take the dirty diaper off. And, yes again, I have learned the hard way
Practice contentment. Even if you are frustrated, tired, or mad, try to maintain your composure, because, the baby you are watching will sense from the tone of your voice how you are feeling, and that might make things worse for you if the baby is crying, and you are about to too!
Always try to keep a wipe with you when holding a baby; you will never know when a baby might spit-up!

I love when I get a new and fun project to do! Especially when it comes to editing! Right now, I am working on a proposed title of a movie, which is currently confidential. I can't wait until it is finished!

Redwall Book Series

Redwall is a book series read by many of my friends and me. It is a saga of books about field mice, and their adventures to protect their abbey. It may sound "little kiddish," but it is packed with adventure, and mystery!

Nancy Drew

If you like mysteries, then Nancy Drew is the book series for you! I own many, and have read a few of them more than twice! I also read another one of Carolyn Keene's series of Nancy Drew books at the library. I can't get enough of Nancy Drew!

Do Hard Things

"Do Hard Things" is a very educational and helpful book. I would rate it as my favorite book, because it helped me so much in my spiritual walk. It talks about teenagers stepping up their standards, and encouraging others to do so as well! I enjoyed it. It explains what it really means to do hard things.

What to do when folding laundry, or when you are bored!

A fun thing that I enjoy doing when I am bored is listen to Adventures in Odyssey! (whitsend.org)
This is an album of Adventures in Odyseey that we purchased
It is made by Christians, for Christians, and is very entertaining! I try to listen to it every day! It also comes out on the radio: (99.7, at 7:30 pm.) It is very helpful when doing chores! Especially if you are doing the dishes! : ) Another website I would suggest would be pandora.com. It is an online radio, and you get to create your station. I enjoy listening to Christian music on Pandora. Hope it helps!

Handy Tip #3

Another tip that my Home-Ec teacher taught me was how to get wax out of cloth!

Simply place your wax-blotted cloth on an ironing board, with a paper bag over top. Iron over the paper bag, and you shall begin to see wet wax coming through. Once all the wax you can iron out has come through, wash your cloth, and the cloth will come out clean and new again!

Handy Tip #2

Ok, this is a trick I learned from my Home-Ec teacher:

When you find an ink mark on your clothing, spray it with hair-spray. It doesn't have to be a specific type of hair-spray, either. Once you have sprayed you clothing with with hair-spray, your clothing should show the ink bleeding through. After you spray your clothing, rinse it with water; and the ink shall be gone!

On Saturday, Mom and I are going to an event called Christmas at Home at our church, and we are going to dercorate a table there. When I signed up for Christmas at Home, I accidently signed up for decorating a table, but it will be fun. We are going to decorate the table with old family christmas black and white pictures, hurricane lanters, and wood. I can't wait until everything comes together.

Well, my home-ec teacher just taught on Friday that if you use hairspray on bugs that are "bugging" you, then it will stiffen its wings, so, it is better than actual bug spray because, if you don't spray bug spray directly on to the pesky bug, then it just annoys him.
